And another one flies the coop! Wishing my step daughter Rian all the best for her next chapter - she will be playing on the women’s lacrosse 🥍 team at Tusculum University in Tennessee! We are so proud of you Ri! What a beautiful school and campus set in the Smokey Mountains.. but most of all what a wonderful team of educators, coaches and faculty who really imparted how much they care about the students. We have no doubt you will have a wonderful first year Rian! Lav! 🧡🖤

They say the days are long but the years are short… oh where did the time go? My baby is all grown up 🥹

Congratulations to my sweet Andrew! I’m so beyond proud of you and how you’ve persevered and grown and all that you’ve tried over the past four years. They also say, “I can’t promise you it will be easy but I can promise you it’ll be worth it”. I hope you always know that in life. Continue to work hard, take risks, don’t let fear of failure stop you, and go for what you want and love and believe in. Congratulations. I love you always and forever. #proudmommoment❤️ #love #grad #dalgrad2026 @dalhousieu #biglifemoment

Gabor Mate spoke today about ADHD and suggested those with allergies, asthma and/or eczema are more likely to have ADHD - allergic people are more reactive and sensitive to their environments. Do you have both allergies and ADHD? Food for thought! Regulation is the answer - learning how to calm and support the stressed systems to be less reactive, more resilient and build tolerance vs sensitivity. #adhd @gabormatemd #allergies @choosinghealthcounselling #allergiesandadhd #sensitive

This is any parent’s worst nightmare. It is coming up to a year since Liam Toman went missing in #tremblantvillage - nobody just disappears. Sharing this and hoping someone knows something and can help this family. @find_liam_toman #liamtoman #missing #tremblant

Keep calm and carry on allergy moms! Wishing all my fellow allergy moms (dads, siblings, grandparents, and caregivers) an extra Merry Christmas! Pulling off the holidays with an allergic family member adds an extra layer… and it’s a labour of love. Sending you all the best for Christmas and 2026!

My initial reaction to the title of this article was anger 😡- dietary restrictions and food allergies are NOT WHIMS!!!! But as I read on, I really appreciated Dakshana Bascaramurty’s ( @thisisnottheendofme ) changing perspective on accommodating friends and customers with dietary restrictions. Thank you! Nobody wants to be a pain in the a$$ (except those who “need to grow up” - a joke in the article that did make me laugh- 🤭) … to those friends and family who have gone out of the way to accommodate our family’s dietary restrictions (and the list is not long)… THANK YOU. We know it’s not easy… we know it’s a pain… and at the end of the day IT IS LOVE and about bringing us all together that matters. 🥹♥️🙏 @globeandmail #foodallergies #dietaryrestrictions #dinnerparties #thanksgiving #food #entertaining #companyscoming #allergy #allergymom #theallergymom

Sooooo very grateful for @impressnails 💅!!!! I used to be addicted to gel manicures and always felt my most beautiful and put together when my nails were on point! And then…. Out of nowhere … I developed an allergy! All of my nails lifted from their nailbeds and were damaged badly. It took over 2 and a half years for the #onycholysis to completely grow out and look normal. See my previous post way down in my feed to view the damage! 😭😭😭. I thought I was doomed to never have the pretty, fun and funky nails that I had grown to love … until my client recommended Impress Nails! I can’t believe how well they stay on and last!!! Additional bonus - way more affordable, wayyyy healthier and way less time consuming! Win win win! #nails #manicure #allergies #theallergymom

The headline reads “Doctors are prescribing a dose of nature”…. As I sit here listening to the hum of the cicadas, a dog barking in the distance, birds chirping while reading the paper, I couldn’t agree more! I remember learning in my psychotherapy that people heal faster when they are looking at green spaces - grass, trees…. We also learned that pine trees release chemicals into the air that are natural antidepressants.. forest bathing anyone? Check out the article in the @globeandmail to read more about how doctors are prescribing nature #PaRx - the benefits of at least 2 hours per week outdoors for improved health - reduced blood pressure, cholesterol and risk of preterm birth- reductions in asthma, adhd, and coronary heart disease - cancer related outcomes can be improved. There’s really not a lot of possible negative side effects of this type of prescription. How are you getting outside this week? #getoutside #choosinghealth #health #wellness #physicalhealth #mentalhealth #therapist #therapy #ontario #canada @choosinghealthcounselling

Saw this first image on a Facebook post from an allergy group I follow…. My comment to that mom:

I got in a fight with my teen daughter over Bryer’s ice cream last night bc she wanted to eat the vanilla with a may contain label and I wouldn’t let her. I googled them and they were recently in news for a big mistake mislabeling rocky road for another flavour and putting those with tree nut allergy at risk. Do better Bryer’s! @unilever @unilevercanada @unileverusa #bryersicecream #nutallergy #anaphylaxis #foodallergy #allergies #theallergymom

Iceland 🇮🇸 2025… a bucket list trip knocked off the list! My favourite highlights of the trip: the company! @patriciawits, @jodie_pappas, @gta_fitnessmomma - thank you for another amazing getaway to restore, rejuvenate and create life memories! Honourable mentions: Blue lagoon & Sky lagoon (my fave was @skylagooniceland ) (***allergy warning - both places have almonds in their face masks and skin products which end up in tbe water…. I was surprised and am curious how allergy sufferers feel about that)…. @ingolfsskali the Viking Restauant was AWESOME - we had a blast! - Geysirs, Waterfalls, Rainbows 🌈…. Icelandic horses 🐴- the gorgeous topography from the black steaming volcanic earth, to the green mossy land, to the snow capped mountains… driving the golden circle was amazing. A great trip albeit cold 🥶… we experienced all forms of weather ☀️ 🌧️ ❄️ 🧊 🌈 - sometimes all within the span of 5 minutes! #travel #wanderlust #iceland #goldencircle #friendsforever #worldtraveller #adventure #liveyourlife #girlstrip
